The project includes the identification, the cataloguing as well as the digitalization of western papers, watermarked and not, manufactured in Fabriano over an interrupted time span of almost eight centuries: from the end of the 13th century to the present day.

The collection from which we started is that of ancient Fabriano papers created by Augusto Zonghi, which was followed by the collection of his brother, Aurelio Zonghi, conserved in the Paper and Watermark Museum of Fabriano and owned by the municipality. These two older collections will be followed by the collection of Luigi Tosti Duke of Valminuta.

The most fundamental aspect of CCF has been the compiling of an informatic database which has been appositively structured to respond to requisites required by the scientific board concerned. The collection is connected to a web platform that will permit the user to do research and interface with CCF offering his knowledge and information.
